Our Story – and the Dream

More than 20 years ago, Karin and I, Maurizio, dreamed of a small hotel for world travelers – a place that brings people together.

​

In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, fate led us to Zanzibar. We explored the island until we arrived in Jambiani – a paradise of white beaches and turquoise waters. Then we found it: an unfinished building, just a bare structure, waiting to become our hotel. The name was clear to us from the start – little.pompeji was born.

Some thought we were crazy, but dreams don’t have to be reasonable. Zanzibar has a magic that captivates everyone.
